Bed Bugs: What's Your Plan?

These night time visitors are showing up in more homes and businesses. Could yours be next?

Bed Bugs Don't Discriminate

Social and economic distinctions don't matter to bed bugs.  Infestations can happen anywhere.

Bed bug
  • The typical bed bug is small, usually less than a quarter-inch long, and it is brown or reddish brown in color.

  • Because the bed bug is a relatively flat insect, it can crawl into a wide variety of crevices in close proximity to humans. Mattresses, seams in bed linens and upholstery are favorite haunts along with spaces behind wood trim, inside electrical boxes, in floors and behind wallpaper. And once they're in, they multiply quickly. A female can lay 10-20 eggs per week, which translates to 500-1000 hungry bed bugs per year. The increase in the number of bed bug infestations is likely spurred by domestic and international travel. And the number of cases is on the rise.

  • Infestations can happen anywhere!  What can you do to reduce your risk?

    • Routinely inspect rooms for bed bug activity.
    • Inspect all areas within 3-5 feet of where people sleep or relax.
    • Inspect behind picture frames, light fixtures and any other mounted furnishings.
    • Avoid clutter.
    • Vacuum all rooms regularly.
  • If bed bugs show up in your home or business, just call the Batzner bed bug team. We will help you put together an action plan to banish these pests. Bed bugs from Green Bay to Milwaukee to Chicago, don't stand a chance against Batzner!
