Pavement Ant
Appearance
- Light brown to black
- Around one-tenth inch long
- Parallel lines on head and thorax.
- Antennae of 12 segments
Behavior
- Nests are usually outdoors under stones along curbs or in cracks in pavement
- When nests are found indoors, they are usually in walls or under floors
- Invade homes looking for food
Diet
- Omnivorous, prefer meats and grease
