American Cockroach
Appearance
- Can be up to 1 1/2 inches long
- Reddish-brown wings with light yellowish markings on back of head
Behavior
- Prefer warm, humid areas
- Commonly found in large commercial buildings, especially in steam tunnels and sewers
- Can also be found in food areas
Diet
- Scavengers; eat almost anything
- Prefer fermenting foods such as beer
