Centipede
Appearance
- Approximately 1 to 1 1/2 inch in length
- Come in a variety of colors usually are yellowish to brown
- Flat with one pair of legs on most of their segments
Behavior
- Need lots of moisture
- Normally live outdoors in damp areas such as mulch, compost and flower beds
- If they move indoors, they hide in most areas such as basements, closets or bathrooms
- When disturbed, they move swiftly
Diet
- Insects and spiders. Some species feed on plants
